I've now added a number of Griffith Valuation maps on the GeoGenelogy site.

1. A Bowes/Dooley/Carroll DNA composite map: The map employs a compound proportional circle to represent the count for each surname occourance. The Dooley and Carroll surnames are closely related to Bowe, each with a genetic distance of 1. By plotting the names in this manner we can observe parishes where all three names are found simultaneously in the Griffith Valuation. This might be of assistance in determining the genetic homeland of  the ancestor of the Bowes, Dooleys and Carrolls. 2.  Bowe variant boundaries: The map isolates the Bowe surname and two variants Bowes, and Boe. The focus of greatest concentration is found approximately 12 miles to the south of  the Bowes/Dooley/Carroll DNA complex.
    
3. Bowe variants - topography: The impact of topography on the surname distribution is clearly evident.
