Adam Parker says:
Alamein '42 is a hell of a diverse title. It's of totally different feel to Tobruk - and as one who loved that title, I can honestly say Alamein '42 offers even more.

Alamein '42

Alamein '42Alamein '42 - Then in a surprise move, he doubled back, and captured Tobruk in a single day before turning his Panzer Army once again toward Alexandria, Cairo and the Nile. But the British would deny him the ultimate prize with a heroic stand at a lonely, unheard of railway stop known as El Alamein.

Glenn Saunders says:
"What we set out to do with Alamein '42 was to build our second Operational Desert Warfare Game, but one with less unit density so as to offer another interpretation of depiciting the fighting units. Secondly, we covered a wide period like Tobruk, but one that included a couple of wide swings as ROmmel doubled back and took Tobruk by storm before pressing his worn out panzers on to Alamein. Finally we have offered some alternatives to the campaign using the a possible invasion of Malta. The result we feel is a satifying project that will please any Panzer Campaign Veteran while not forgetting those who are only finding out Series now. ENJOY!"

Here is what some people on the Internet Forums are saying about Alamein!

Way to go HPS! Alamein rocks

Alamein rocks YO!
Now that I have both tobruk and alamein I can throw out my afrika korps board game! LOL
I can say that the Malta scenario alone is worth the 39.95.(That is US $ of course)
Way to go HPS.

I didn't think anything would be as much fun as my all time favorite Smolensk 41 but El Alamein may just beat it. You can really tell a lot of effort went in to this game. I love the strategy decisions that you have to make. (Do you go for Malta or not)?? Really adds to the game. Anyway great game.

Just got mine and only played the small armored car scenario so far. I've looked at the campaign and it truly is awesome. I like the fact that the beginning of the campaign shows just how worn down the Axis forces were. Some starting at Max Fatigue. I think this one will be a real winner.
