Control Board Problem

R11 Resistor Blown?

New Part required
R11 = 3.9K Ohms
{Make sure it's a Carbon/Carbon Film 1/4 Watt or better rated}

Below is typical views of what a Burned R11 looks like and where to find it.

Below a new R11 soldered in place.

Q6 Smoked?

New Part Required
Q6 = NTE5657 (600 Volt)
{This is instead of the 400 Volt Original!}

You can clearly see the Smoked Q6 labeled on the board next to the incinerated R11.

The Control Board as you find it wired in the machine.

Looks like a lot of work, but if you got this far, it's easy. The plugs to disconnect the board are all labeled, and you will notice different sizes, take some notes and by all means label them with a pencil and use a sketch if you need too. Just make sure you are only looking at this view WITH THE POWER OFF, and the cable removed from the wall socket. Then there nothing to be too worried about. Just double check all connections when you have repaired the board and you should be up and running again.

Rear of Control Board - R11 Heat Damage

Depending how bad your board is burned, you might have to solder you new resistor to a nearby part as the track has completely gone where the original resitor used to be. Using the wire on the new components this can be quite simple. (see below)
