Carving Totem Pole under Tim Paul

The Tseshaht Band has hired Tim Paul from Heshquat to apprentice three Tseshaht carvers to carve two to three 25 to 27 foot totem poles to be displayed on The Tseshaht Reserve at the Tempo Gas station on the Pacific Rim Highway in Port Alberni on the way to Tofino.

This is the progress on the first totem pole as of August 8 2005.
The  official pole raising happened on June 29 2006.
The apprentices all participate in steading the base of the pole.
