Unitarian religious education promotes the principles of justice, love, trust, safety, tolerance and encouragement. Our children learn in a fun, welcoming, warm and safe environment, where they do crafts and projects examining such virtues as courage, honour, justice and love.

Each Sunday the children start off the morning with their parents in the sanctuary. After the Story for All Ages the children are sung out and they go to their own room. There they engage in their own special activities. Religious Education Facilitator Tiffany and teacher assistant Adam invite them to light LED candles of Glad and Sad, recounting if they wish, special events from the previous week. They have their own ritual.

WE LIGHT THIS CHALICE TO CELEBRATE UNITARIAN UNIVERSALISM
(Hold up your left hand in the shape of a U and then do the same with your right hand)

THIS IS THE FELLOWSHIP OF THE OPEN MIND
(Put both hands in front of your face and then open them)

THIS IS THE FELLOWSHIP OF THE HELPING HANDS
(Put both hands out flat in front of you, palm up)

THIS IS THE FELLOWSHIP OF THE LOVING HEART
(Cross arms on chest in a hug)

Then Facilitator Tiffany introduces the lesson of the day. Tiffany has planned a whole year of fun and engaging activities for the kids. We shall learn a little about what they do each week when they return to the congregation at the end of the service to tell us what they have been doing.
