Doug Baker's Music

Doug is performing in a band called Collage. It all started in 2002 as a duo called Bristol Cream consisting of Doug on guitar and banjo and Sheri on mandolin, bodhran and guitar. Shortly thereafter, Nobuo, a talented bass, harmonica and guitar player, joined the group. For a complete bio, check out Collage.

While Sheri was away in 2005, Doug and Nobuo played in a trio called Jana and the Boys from Collage. However Jana Seale recently moved to Vancouver so the group is history. It was a lot of fun while it lasted. Jana is currently entertaining the travellers on a cruise ship that plies the waters along the west coast of North America.

Doug performed in a group called Wooden Bridge (later renamed The Bow Rounders) with Don Milne and Norm Rooke. Musically it was a lot of fun but conflicting schedules meant the demise of the group after around 18 months.

Doug also teamed up with a great fiddle player, Colin Peters, for the Water Valley Celtic Festivals of 2005 & 2006. The duo was called Alban Heruin which means summer solstice in Gaelic.

Here are some pictures of some of Doug's musical exploits.

In July 2002, Doug got together with the members of Jeremy Jobbins, his band from high school days, for a reunion concert in Elmvale, Ontario. The guys had a great time playing a lot of the great old rock 'n' roll songs.
