Lawrence was also a member of the Host Broadcaster Team and involved with many national special projects such as, The Olympics in Montreal, The Economic Summit in Toronto, The Commonwealth Heads Conference in Vancouver, The Commonwealth Games in Victoria and several Grey Cups.

For the last 10 years of Lawrence’s CBC career he held a technical supervisor /technical producer position being involved with the on air presentation and local news.

Although Brian and his wife Marilyn have retired to Kelowna, they still enjoy an occasional free lance project.
