1) What is the theme of
this club?
We are like
philosophical rebels. We believe it’s our right to experience freedom and
personal power. We're also commonly referred as truth-seekers and
freedom-fighters.
2) Are you a religion?
No, we just like to
philosophize. Sometimes that may be spiritual, but with no religious base.
Other times we talk about aspects of the self or the world that is not
spiritual, it depends on the topic (we are open to all topics, and all
ideas). We are also not associated with any political group, as we are
totally independent.
3) Are you
affiliated with any other organizations?
No. All of the
links on our website are just people with interesting ideas.
4) What kind of
regular activities, does the club offer?
We get together
every 2-3 weeks. We mainly put on ‘controversial films’ and then have a
friendly ‘discussion forum’ after the film. We also provide a few other
events throughout the year, such as: personal-power workshops, spiritual
fellowship meditations and special events (ie: hikes, parties, road-trips,
etc). We also offer personal coaching for individuals who need support.
7) What about other
local events that are related?
We encourage people
to post events on our discussion forum in the 'Virtual Cafe' (a Yahoo
Group), about local happenings, world news, etc. We also supply a networking
table at our film events, to share anything of value.
10) What's your club
motto?
We question
everything... to expand beyond our belief systems.
11) Can you explain more about why you offer film events?
There
are many films on conspiracy theory, and underground personal-growth movies.
Right now we are presenting more non-fiction/speaker type films. There are
many wonderful films unavailable on the big screen. It's fun to go out and
watch these types of films with like-minded individuals, who enjoy
questioning reality with others. We provide 1-hour at the end of the film
events, to do a short forum and discuss the film.
12) What kind of
system are you using for your film events?
We have a high
quality digital projector, with an excellent DVD and surround sound system.
We project on to a good-sized screen for a wonderful theatre experience. The
over-all-system is first-class quality for our film night events.
13) What does your
club like to focus on for topics?
We try to alternate
between the outer-world (ie: global events, social issues, etc), and the
inner-world (ie: psychology, philosophy, etc). We mainly explore various
conspiracies and personal-growth topics.
14) Why is this club
valuable?
We live in a
society of sheep. It's getting more and more difficult to express a unique
opinion about anything. Because there is so much censorship and repression,
we can be ostracized for challenging the norm on anything 'outside the box'.
15) Why is this club
important to attend?
By attending the
club on a regular basis, you are reminded that it's OK and normal to be a
unique 'free-thinking' individual, and to practice expressing the
"pro's and con's" on any topic, without being punished or rejected
for challenging an idea. All ideas are man-made and up for questioning.

16) What about
advanced information?
There are many
wonderful books, DVD's, CD's, websites, with great resources on advanced
information. Much of what we hear in the news, media, and school-system, are
controlled, censored and distorted information. The media often misses out
on vital information to many stories, and twisting things, thus it looses
it's original context. Our club offers underground products and films that
is uncensored. We encourage you to do your own research... and then you be
the judge, as to what you believe or don't believe. We believe it's our
right to have access to what's really going on in the world. Information
control is unethical and unjust. There are many people on the planet that
have access to 'all information'.
17) Why is
personal-power important?
We are connected to
everything in the Universe through energy. By tapping into our body-wisdom,
our intuition muscle will strengthen. And then we'll begin to start trusting
ourselves, by make decisions that are best for us, not what authorities tell
us we should do, but do what 'feels right'.
18) What if my opinion
is the opposite viewpoint of the group's concensus...Why go?
I can appreciate
your thoughts on how you feel your view is so different, that it may offend
others by your strong ideas. But I want you to know that the concept behind
our group is simple. The world is going through a major change in 'our
lifetime'. We are all affected by it as a community, and as individuals. We
are also very intelligent, wise, intuitive creatures. There are many
'free-thinkers' that explore all aspects of life OUTSIDE THE BOX. I know you
are one of them, and so are the rest of our Free-Thinkers Club participants.
If us non-corporate's can't stick together in these coming global changes,
there really is no hope. We need to align ourselves... through all of our
diverse research/opinions/wisdom. You've spent a lifetime researching many
things in the way you've seen fit... so have we.
In the discussion groups, there is only a little time for each of us, to get
our points across...but enough to plant seeds on various extreme angles,
exploring the same subject. Something ALL OF US need, if we're going to grow
as individuals, and as a community. We may have to shock each other,
hopefully we may "expand beyond our belief systems" (our club
motto), and sometimes we might have to 'agree to disagree'.
If you like to meet in coffee-shops to discuss this stuff, it's time that we
start gathering together as a group, to create strong alliances as a
Free-Thinkers Club!
19) Who is Sahara
Exodus, the promoter of this club?
Ms. Exodus is an
Empowerment Author, and a Certified Counsellor. She's also a Certified
Instructor and Facilitator with the School Board. She focuses on 'personal
power' with her clients. Sahara is the Founder of the Free-Thinkers Club
that puts on non-mainstream, controversial, liberating films ~ about the
deceit in our world. And as a group, we search for answers and
solutions.
