I have custody and the added responsibility of raising my grandson, my son's child. Both parents, sadly are fighting drug addiction. At a time when I thought my parenting years were over, I had to become a parental figure yet again. NO - correction - I did not "have to", but I "chose to" out of love for a helpless member of my family. I have never regretted it.
"Family" is one of the most powerful bonds we have in this world. (Watch for my family photo gallery here...)
I am a troubleshooter (of many things), a health nut, an advocate of health and wellness, a participant in a five-year clinical trial for breast cancer, a Ms. Fix-It, and obviously - a computer nut.
I subscribe to several lists on the net, but have been fortunate enough to be part of a small, very select private group that includes web designers, engineers, computer programmer, retired scientist (yeah rocket science...), writers, ex-politicians and more. I owe thanks to this group for "being there when I need them" (like with this web site), and for the great conversations and insite they have provided.
You would be right if you guessed I detest "injustice" and will fight for, and have fought for, many and varied causes that have "freedoms and rights" as a basic but common thread among them. And no - that does not mean I am "Americanized" - it merely means that I believe we all have an inherent right to life, liberty, and freedom, in the most basic sense of the words. I also believe we each have a responsibility to protect these rights, and that none of us should treat them lightly, or allow them to be taken away.

One of the causes I champion led me to a great group. It also led me to participate in a very powerful documentary that was televised nationally, and which has already won an award (phenomenal and awesome response).
THE
AWARD WINNING DOCUMENTARY "FROM GRIEF TO ACTION" HAS AIRED ON TV FOUR TIMES
NATIONALLY
(CBC Newsworld - Passionate Eye), ONCE LOCALLY, AND HAS HAD NUMEROUS
PRIVATE SCREENINGS.
