Barracuda Page 4

The original BO-29 code 1968 Plymouth Barracuda was specially designed for the racer, not intended for street use! This 1:18 scale replica by Highway 61 captures the details of the original cars from the pull-up lexicon side windows to the battery mounted in the trunk. Only 2250 pieces were made and commissioned by Supercar Collectibles.

Two more very rare 'Cuda 'Verts! Backyard Conversions created only 12 of the Black ones, sporting the white Billboards, for Supercar Collectibles, and 40 (as the sticker advertises) of the B5 Blue Hemi Cudas for Performance Years Enterprises.

Built by Tom Hoover and Ted Spehar of Chrysler Corporation, the Plymouth Test Mule, with the funky paint job, paved the way for high performance Plymouths of the early 1970’s. Highway 61 reproduced this car wonderfully, with the moveable shifter for the automatic transmission to the one-of-a-kind seats (purportedly scavenged from a Porsche for the original). Only 1500 were produced. The car sitting under it, is a "what if" car built for MTR using the Test Mule casting. This '68 is one of only 504.

Three more very trick variations of the BO-29 Code! Supercar Collectibles commissioned only 600 of each of these little metal fish; each with the plastic front end and Hemi motivation. The red, yellow and white have period license plates from New York, Georgia, and Florida, respectively, that each read "1 OF 600"! Too cool! Thanks Supercars!

This is the first 1971 'Cuda made by Highway 61 that does not have the Billboards! It was commissioned by Supercar Collectibles, and was one of only 504 produced. 36 of this model were sent by Supercar to get the convertible treatment at Backyard Conversions, so only 468 of these beauties still exist in their original form.

The power of gold! Highway 61 released an assortment of 'Cudas mid-2006, led by this Gold Leaf Poly colored 1971 'Cuda with a 383 under the hood. It flaunts its power bulge hood and sports a classy green interior. The other two offerings include the red 1970 AAR with the black interior, and the Curious Yellow number with a black interior, shod with billboards.

This is one of my personal favorites! Presented at the same time as the AAR with the black interior, Supercar Collectibles commissioned only 504 of these red AAR's with the white insides. The clamshell packaging makes it diffucult to truly appreciate the impact of this diecast, so it looks like I'll have to spring for a second one! Oh, well!

Campbell Collectibles presented this black, 383 powered, 1970 'Cuda as their 2006 Club Mopar Car. It is wearing the special order V4J strobe stripe package, and comes with a sequentially numbered, full-sized build sheet.

This is one of the 36 Supercar Collectibles Limited Editions morphed to drop tops by Backyard Conversions. It is the closest available factory color combination to the famous Nash Bridges 'Cuda. The color scheme is really quite striking...a nice piece to display!

Both of these 'Cuda Drop Tops were crafted by Backyard Conversions. The Gold 383 is one of 36 made, and the Curious Yellow with Billboards was in a group of 60 converted. Each came with a certificate of authenticity.
