Barracuda Page 1

I've always liked the "Billboards", so called because of the bold graphics on the rear quarter panels:

The box states that 5000 of these Blue and White puppies were made, but a number of them were made into top up, and down, convertibles.

5000 made, released in 1999, this White and Black features the rare 383 Big Block. This car looks real cool against my AC/DC bandana!

In Ertl's Top Ten Fastest Musclecar series, this Yellow and White 1971 with the 440 Sixpack was the 10th fastest.

The signature car of the 2001 Monster Mopar Weekend. 2500 were made. IMHO, this Tor Red and White is the nicest of the Ertl billboards.

Going toe to toe with Ertl in the 1:18 Plymouth E-body arena, Highway 61 presented these two pieces for only about $10 more than Ertl's MSRP. Both the B5 Blue HemiCuda and Moulin Rouge AAR have a plethora of nifty little features like opening glove box, rotating driveshaft, correct scale wheels and tires, opening trunk, and so on, and so on! It's hard to quantify value, but I think you get an awful lot for your money with these two diecast!

Highway 61 issued their 1968 Barracudas in new packaging that does not require mounting screws or plastic strapping. The models feature some serious detailing featuring fuel and brake lines, raised Barracuda emblems, a fold-down rear seat and detailed spare tire. The Sable White and Turbine Bronze Formula S's both have black interiors, while the Electric Blue sports the unique white split bench seat with folding center arm rest.
