I purchased a set of EDO 2425's for my 108-2 many years ago less most of the struts and wires - so I purchased a set of blueprints from Univair to help me correctly identify the parts I needed. The blueprints contained part numbers and some design geometry but lacked specific dimensions.

Unfortunately, a great number of the parts I came across had no serial numbers on them, perhaps because the stock had been repaired/replaced at some point. (to be expected after 50 plus years of flying) Many people assured me the parts they had for sale, came off a Stinson floatplane; however, no two sets of struts seemed to be the same length! I called JJ Frey at EDO to see if they could provide me with the exact dimensions of the struts and wires I needed; unfortunately, company policy prohibits the release of this data, due to the associated liability risks involved.

Eventually I found a complete set of rigging in a barn in southern Ontario. I decided to recorded the dimensions for future reference and the rest is ... well OK... you get my point. Hope this info helps you out with your parts hunting/installation.
