Who is Dave Miller?
I am a Military Air Traffic Controller (Comox Terminal), Certified Flight Instructor and part time Artist. I was born in Listowel, Ontario, Canada in 1960 and lived in southwestern Ontario until I joined the Canadian Military in 1979. During my military career I have enjoyed postings to Trenton, ON - Cold Lake, AB - Petawawa, ON - Cornwall, ON - Bagotville, QC and Comox, BC where we currently reside.
My wife Storm and I own a 1947 Stinson 108-2 Station Wagon seaplane, which we operate, privately, from the Courtenay Airpark (AH3). This is our second aircraft - the first was a PA16, Piper Clipper.
What you can find at this site?
I have put together a selection of some of my artwork for your viewing pleasure. In addition, I've included information regarding the installation of EDO 2425 floats and the 210 hp Continental IO-360 on the 108 series Stinson aircraft - an STC'd upgrade we performed in 2001. I am also in the process of adding reference material on the entire line of certified Stinson's. I have amassed a lot of fascinating material and will continue to update the site as time permits so please check the What's New link for recent updates. Hope you find what you're looking for.
