"KISS fans are in a class by themselves. They range from the very young to those considered by the majority of society past the age where it's "cool" to love rock and roll. They have braved the taunts and jeers from critics, only to return those taunts with a vengeance, 22 years and 25 albums later. The first input on KISS Fan Clubs was made by KISS, creating the mighty KISS ARMY in late 1975. At the time it was a great promotional idea and gave the millions of KISS fans the chance to be updated on KISS. Almost immediately on formation, the KISS ARMY grew to astronomical proportions and became the official haven for up-to-date information and merchandise they made headlines and became the biggest fan club (for a rock group) in the world, enrolling over 1000,000 KISS fans! However, the army disbanded around 1982 when it's membership faltered and the band's popularity was just recovering from a transitional period. But the diehards never failed. FIREHOUSE MAGAZINE took up where the 'official' KISS ARMY left off. Since 1983, we have been the KISS ARMY! Now the longest running KISS Club, we have members in just about every corner of the world.
