Over the past 27 years KISS have written and recorded nearly 250 songs, yet on tour we
only get to hear between 17 and 19 songs. I'm sure every KISS fan has left a KISS concert
thinking... "I wish they had played..." And I'm sure there have been songs that were
included in the set that you thought should have been omitted. here is your chance to put
together your Ultimate KISS Set List. I asked FIREHOUSE readers to put together a realistic
set list of around 20 songs. Here is what we didn't have room for in issue #80:
Lorne Wolofsky / Montreal, QUE, CANADA Now, here is the ultimate set list for the upcoming tour, which should either be called "Millennium" tour or "Tour 2000". There is great anticipation at the venue. The crowd is on its feet. There is a giant curtain covering the front of the stage with the KISS logo and the words "Tour 2000" printed on it. As the lights go out, the crowd roars, and the first strings of "Unholy" are heard. Just before Gene launches into the vocals, the curtain drops, and explosions erupt. The stage is futuristic, with UFOs and aliens in the background. The set continues as follows: 1) Unholy 2) You Wanted the Best 3) Deuce 4) Rip It Out 5) Got to Choose 6) Nowhere to Run 7) Take me 8) Out of Control (Peter Criss solo album) 9) Firehouse 10) Love in Chains 11) Strutter 12) We Got Your Rock 13) Rise to It 14) Nothing to Lose (Gene on vocal) 15) Danger 16) Reason to Live 17) Ladies Room 18) Hard Luck Woman 19) Hide Your Heart 20) Detroit Rock City ------------------- 21) Beth 22) Wouldn't You Like To Know Me 23) Shout It Out Loud ------------------ 24) Cold Gin (Ace lead vocal) 25) Black Diamond 26) Rock and Roll All Nite Half way during the tour, Danger would be replaced with C'mon And Love me, and Raise Your Glasses would replace Nowhere To Run in certain shows. Forever would have been great for the tour, but Ace has trouble with the stationary mike stand and the acoustic guitar. Other songs rehearsed and dropped form the list include: Watchin' You, Rock Soldiers, Tears, and She.
