Finlayson was born in Quill lake Saskatchewan, Canada in 1931. He farmed and was a carpenter until 1980. Since 1980 he
has pursued his passion of carpentry and woodworking. His attention to fine detail made the transition to the art of
Knife-making, where precision workmanship is essential, an easy one.
Doug's exquisite craftsmanship has been enjoyed by customers all over the world. Customers from Germany, England, Norway,
France, Australia and many in the United States and Canada are using Finnie's Custom Made Knives!
All of our Custom Knives are made from 440 Stainless Steel as well as ATS 34.
