A 'Big Girl' Bed

Sofia moved from a crib into her new bed a while ago, but it took a while before I could get a good picture of it. She is very proud of it, and probably sleeps in it when Poppa is home, but when Poppa is away in Poland I think Sofia crawls into Momma's bed!

Ah! The Good Life!

Here's a picture of Sofia -- with a book as usual. She has always loved books and kept bringing them to me to read when I was babysitting. She has a little table and chair as well as her easy chair. The dollhouse has lots of furniture for Sofia to play with.

Sofia Knows How To Turn The TV On!

On this particular occasion, I was babysitting Sofia while her Momma attended a seminar at the Canadian Down Syndrome Society Conference which was held in Calgary this year. Natasha limits Sofia's TV & Video viewing time. I was told that we could turn the TV on at 11AM so that Sofia could watch 'Little Bear' -- one of the programs she likes. Sometime earlier, Sofia turned on the TV, and although it was not 11AM, I let her watch for a few minutes and snapped this photo. When the segment was finished. we turned the TV off and waited for Little Bear to start.

Back home again, I downloaded the photos on to my computer, edited them, and e-mailed copies to Natasha. I received an e-mail from Natasha thanking me for the photos, and noting that I had let Sofia watch TV when she wasn't supposed to!!! She could tell from the picture showing on the TV screen! Next time I'll have to check the photos more carefully! It's hard for Grampa's to say no! Like I always say -- Natasha's really on the ball!
