Oh! The indignity of it all!
Today we took Sofia to her doctor for the flu shot. Sofia was really good and well behaved. While waiting in the doctor's office Momma received a gift from the doctor for letting Sofia participate in a study by some medical students. It was a lovely toy which Sofia will undoubtedly enjoy! We went to a little room for the flu shot. Momma held Sofia firmly while the shot was administered.
Sofia accepted the shot, but began to cry a little but at that point the shot was over. Sofia reacted better than I do when I get a shot! I made a funny face by crossing my eyes (something Sofia finds terribly funny) and she stopped crying immediately! We waited for five minutes to make sure all was well, and then went to the mall for a treat.
We found a nice table in the food area, and a high chair for Sofia. Momma brought some of Sofia's favorite foods in her pack and fed her. With Momma's permission, I was allowed to treat Sofia to some fries -- she never had them before. She only had a couple, but seemed to enjoy them. Then I went and got a soft ice-cream cone. Momma fed it to Sofia with a spoon, but then we tried letting Sofia lick the cone -- she had no problems and really enjoyed it -- she's had ice-cream before. She was having a really good time, watching all the lights and people -- smiling and laughing all the while.
I Die For Sofia's Kisses
She puts her hands on both your cheeks, pulls you close, and lovingly gives you big wet ones! This picture is how she indicates that she wants to give you a kiss! Oh! I treasure every one!
After her lunch we walked around the mall. Sofia walked all over the place making little side trips to investigate points of interest. There are sidewalk ramps in the mall and Sofia did well on the uphills, but I held her hand to restrain her on the downhill portions. We walked quite a way, and Sofia insisted on walking on her own -- without holding hands -- and did surprisingly well. She would fall occasionally, but pick herself up, and carry on walking -- laughing and giggling all the time! She was really enjoying herself! We were having an equally good time watching her.
