Sofia returns from a three week holiday in Victoria, B.C.
Sofia's Poppa and I met her and Momma at the airport. Poppa had just returned to town the night before. We were a little concerned that Sofia might make strange at first -- and she did -- and we were devastated! She seemed a little puzzled as to who we were, but let us hold her, but kept looking around to be sure Momma was close. Momma made a funny face and got this big smile from Sofia!

Today I took Sofia for one of our walks in the park and we hit a major milestone. Whenever we would pass a playground I would stop and watch the little kids having fun, and think ahead to the day when Sofia could play a little. Now that she can sit up by herself I was able to put her in a 'baby' swing. She loved it -- laughing and smiling all the time. The picture speaks for itself!

There are a series of videotapes called 'Mozart for Babies', 'Beethoven for Babies', and such. They are great with classical music accompanied by pictures, animations, and other visual delights. Sofia really enjoys them, and I in turn, love to watch her reactions as she watches them.

Sofia is starting to 'teethe' and frequently looks for something to chew on. Anything handy will do in a pinch!
