I was present for Sofia's first brithday, but this time distance prevent me from being there. Still, on Sofia's birthday, Momma managed to get to a computer and send me an e-mail telling me that Sofia could finally stand on her own, and get to a standing position without assistance. That really made my day and until Sofia returned I kept having wonderful visions of Sofia finally walking!

Sofia woke up to a birthday present. She loves soft plush toys and although only just half awake you can tell that she is going to like this one.

Sofia is very affectionate -- especially with her toy dolls!

Of course Sofia would have a birthday party, complete with cake and candle. She seems more interested in all the new surroundings, but that's pretty typical of a two years old who has the attention span which can be measured in milliseconds!
