Sensual, passionate and elegant woman in red dress reclining somewhere in the south, maybe in South America or the south of Europe or somewhere in the Middle East. She has a faraway look and makes you wonder what she is thinking about...I was inspired by the drawings of Matisse in that this painting has such free, instinctive lines and movement... It is a very striking painting/drawing. The ink line drawing is spontaneous and raw and very expressive. The acrylic paint is bright and vibrant and gives the painting texture. The heavy weight paper shows through in many places providing additional texture and interest. This painting is on paper so you will have to have it framed under glass (it is sold without a frame). You can get quite a different 'look' with different frames - see some examples below.
