RCAF COURSE 5415

When we started our adventure, a diverse group of young men with a common dream were introduced to life in the Royal Canadian Air Force at #2 PSU(O) at RCAF Station Crumlin, London Ontario from 24 Sep 1954 to 09 Oct 1954. We dropped a few of our numbers during the selection process and then the remainder moved on to RCAF Station Centralia in Ontario to #1 PFS from 09 Oct 1954 to 07 Jan 1955. We were the first to undergo this stage of training in our quest to become Air Crew. It was a standardization of education for all of us and made sure that we were on equal footing before Nav & Pilot flight training started in earnest.

Who will ever forget Cpl Collins, W/C Wattie, S/L "Stainless" Steel, F/O Lloyd Nichol or F/O Bob Aver?

Rod McGinnes, George Rawson and Guy Brown were recoursed and 67 of us graduated from PFS.
