Do you have children? How many other adults live in your home? Does anyone in your household suffer from allergies? Who will be responsible for the care and cost of the cat? 3. Living Accommodations I live in a (house, duplex, condo, townhouse, apartment, mobile home): Do you rent or own? Do you have strata bylaws which determine if you are allowed to have pets, or the number of pets? If you rent, are you allowed to have pets? May we contact your landlord to verify this information? If so, please give landperson's name and phone number. Are there any bylaws in your community restricting number of pets you can own? (It is a good idea to phone your city hall/municipal hall/animal control to find out).
Do you want If you want a cat which would go outside, does your home have a securely fenced yard which would keep neighbourhood dogs off of your property? Where will your cat sleep? If you've had a dog, do you have any experience with dog obedience training? If you have had experience with disabled, blind, or deaf cats, or cats with problem behaviours, please discuss that briefly here. How would you deal with the following scenarios? (There are many different answers, and your answers don't have to be long). a) You come home and find your cat has peed in your house,
not in its litterbox. Please add any additional comments about the home you would provide for your cat: Since we want our cats to have “forever” homes, prospective owners “try out” adult cats on a “foster-to-adopt.” If the cat does not work out, it will be returned to us for placement in another home.
