Boaz BROWN was born on Feb 20 1705. He
died on Sep 24 1772. There is a minor discrepancy regarding his birth and
death, although all information received to date agrees on his actual age at
time of death (67 years, 7 months, 4 days). Calculating his birth
based on tombstone information would indicate a birth date of Mar 22, 1705.
Tombstone information indicates he died Oct 26, 1772.

by fire and 3 children burned to death; 3. Tryphena.

His first wife is believed to be Tabatha Taylor. She is buried beside
him at Stow. She died Aug 10, 1740 at age 31. Their daughter Grace died
Aug 21, 1736 at age 3 and is buried near her parents. Tabatha is
probably the mother of Boaz jr. who was killed in a "Northern
Expedition" as noted below.
12 i. Boaz BROWN jr - He died in 1758 in a Northern Expedition (the
French and Indian War between the English and and the French over their

fortress at Louisburg in what is now Nova Scotia. Also there was a
battle near Fort Ticonderoga between Lake George and Lake Champlain in
Northern New York. It was called "the Battle on Snowshoes" and involved
Roger's Rangers against the French and their Indian allies. A Boaz Brown
was listed as being captured in 1758 in that conflict. Both battles took
place north of Boaz home in Stow and could be called a Northern
Expedition. Many men in the Colonies, including Boston Draper, were
recruited or volunteered for the war.
