Books I Own
Books We Own is an
Internet site where those who own reference books can volunteer to do lookups.
It can add greatly to one's research by providing access to information
from hard-to-find printed volumes. I own (or have owned) the following
items and will do volunteer lookups (unless a new owner is indicated):
-
Adair County Historical Society. Adair County [IA] History, 1976.
Note: This source does NOT include an index. For that reason, anyone requesting
lookups without a township listed will be taking a great chance that their
ancestors are included among about 14 pages from an independent index (out
of 98 total) that include my own ancestors!

Interpreting my notes:
** I no longer own this book; it has been passed
on to someone with closer family ties. I continue to list it here,
however, to facilitate access to the electronic version of associated data.
***I am willing to pass these books on at cost
to anyone who finds a family tie. That cost is indicated in parentheses
at the beginning of the listing; shipping cost will depend on where you
are located and how you want the item mailed.
