There was a sad note when Mark Niver (60) had a fatal accident when his Top Alcohol Dragster crashed into the safety net Sunday afternoon.
When his chute came out it actually came right off his dragster and he was unable to stop before hitting the safety net.
If the net hadn't been there or was further back things might have come out different, very sad.
