• All teams are to be made up of curlers directly employed in a pulp or paper mill. The team can be any combination of men and/or women from the same or different pulp or paper mills.
• Entry Fee for the Bonspiel is $250.00. All teams entered before December 1st 1997 will be entered in the early bird draw.

C.C.A. rules shall be in effect throughout the Bonspiel. The 'Moncton Rule' or 'Free Guard Zone Rule' shall be in effect. The organizing committee is the rules committee and all rules are final.

All games are ten ends except for the consolation round which only have eigh tends. Only 2 1/2  hours is allowed for each draw. Teams are encouraged to keep play moving to ensure that draws are completed within the allotted time.

The curling on Friday, Saturday and Sunday determines the qualifying rinks for the Championship round. ( there will be sixteen qualifiers this year.) Qualifiers will be determined a triple knock-out format.

The Championship Round is a single knockout.  The first draw will be on Sunday night.  The draws on Monday will be

• 9 am  --- First draw
• 12 noon - Second Draw
• 3 pm ---Third and final draw

If we get less than 36 teams the old format will be followed with only eight qualifiers. If we get over 36 teams the curling format will have to be changed to allow the spiel to run in the same time frame. This would allow 16 teams to qualify for the championship round. Breakdown of money should follow one of these.
