1971-05-12: Launched.

1972-06-26: Delivered to Royal Viking Lines, Oslo.

1981-08-30 to 1981-11-22: Lengthened by 28 meters at Seebeckwerft, Bremerhaven, Germany.

1988: Sold to Kloster Cruise, Nassau, Bahamas (part owners of Royal Viking Line).

1991-04: Transferred to Norwegian Cruise Line and renamed Westward.

1994-04: Transferred to Royal Cruise Line, Nassau, Bahamas; renamed Star Odyssey.

1996-10: Sold to Fred Olsen Cruise Lines, Nassau, Bahamas; renamed Black Watch.

1996-11-15: Entered service for Fred Olsen.

1997-02-26: Lost power in two engines off Mamaris. To Valletta, Malta for repairs.

1997-03-02: Arrived in Valletta, Malta.

1997-03-17: Returned to service; registered in Hvitsten, Norway.

1998: Refit.

2001-01-30: Re-flagged to Malta.

2001-08-23: Re-flagged to the Bahamas.

2005-04-20: Arrived at Blohm & Voss, Hamburg, Germany, for main engine replacement and rebuild.

2005-06-29: Returned to service.
