In winter, served on the Liverpool - New York route. 196x: Moved to the Liverpool-New York route year-round to replace Britannic. 1965: Rebuilt for cruising. 1965-02-10: Entered service as a cruise ship. 1967-10: Made Cunard's last Liverpool-Montréal sailing. 1967-11: Laid up. 1968-02-02: Sold to Sitmar Line, Monrovia, Liberia for Southampton-Australia emigrant service; renamed Fairland and laid up in Southampton. 1970-02-21: Arrived at the Arsenale Triestino San Marco shipyard in Trieste, Italy for rebuild. This rebuild altered the forward superstructure significantly. 1971: Renamed Fairsea. 1971-11-02: Left the shipyard. 1971-12: Sailed her maiden cruise for Sitmar. 1984: Refit. 1988-09-01: Acquired by P&O Lines, Monrovia, Liberia when P&O Princess purchased Sitmar. 1988-09-09: Renamed Fair Princess. 1995: Sale to Regency Cruises had been arranged when Regency went bankrupt. She was to be renamed Regent Isle. 1996: Transferred to P&O Holidays Australia. 1996-1997: Upgraded and refurbished at both Southwest Marino in San Diego and at Garden Island in Sydney. 1997-02-07: Departed on her maiden cruise for P&O Holidays Australia. 2000-11: Replaced by Pacific Sky (ex. Sky Princess and Fairsky). 2000-12: Delivered to new owners in Hong Kong. 2000-12-20: Renamed China Sea Discovery. 2000-12 to 2001-01: Converted to a casino ship. 2001: Ran aground twice on her maiden voyage. 2003-05-21: Laid up in Kaohsiung. 2003-11: Reportedly acquired by KokomoShips, USA, as accommodation for international workers in Iraq. |
