(Bore Steamship Co.), part of the Silja Line consortium. 1960-04-12: Entered service between Skeppsbron (Stockholm), Mariehamn, and Åbo (Norrtälje?). 1972: Rebuilt with additional bunks. 1976-09-01: Laid up in Åbo. 1977-10-06: Sold to Oy Jakob Lines Ab, Jakobstad, Finland, for cruise service and renamed Borea. 1978-05-13: Entered service between Jakobstad and Skellefteå. 1979-01-19 to 1979-04: Chartered to Fred. Olsen Ltd., London, for use as a hotel ship in Stornoway, Outer Hebrides. 1981 to 1984: Chartered as an apartment ship in Algeria. 1984-05-08: Returned to Jakob Lines and laid up in Pargas, Finland. 1984-05-29: Sold to Ab Helsingfors Steamship Company Ltd. (Oy Henry Nielsen Ab), Helsingfors, Finland. 1984-06: Chartered by Oy Aura Line Ab, Åbo, Finland. 1984-06-19: Entered service between Turku (Åbo) and Stockholm. 1984-10-04: Aura Line went into bankruptcy. 1984-10-05: Returned to owner and laid up in Turku (Åbo). 1985-10-01: Sale arranged to Aqua Culture Industries Inc., Monrovia, Liberia (Vanderbilt Steamship Co., Vancouver, BC, Canada). Was to be rebuilt into a very exclusive cruise ship, and be renamed Vanderbilt. This sale fell through. 1987-01-20: Sold to Rannikkolinjat Ltd., Kotka, Finland (Kristina Cruises). 1987-03-02: Delivered to her new owners. 1987-04-28: Renamed Kristina Regina. 1987-07-26: Towed to Wärtsilä Marine Industries Inc., Kotka, Finland for rebuild, including conversion from steam to diesel propulsion. 1988-04-28: Entered service cruising out of Helsingfors. 1988 - 1989: Rebuilt at Hollming Oy, Rauma, Finland. Most cabins totally rebuilt with washroom facilities; car deck converted to a conference hall; duty-free shop and sauna added. 1989: Owner's name officially changed to Kristina Cruises Oy. 1989-04-07: Returned to service out of Helsingfors. 1992-01: Refurbished. 1993: Refurbished. 1995-01: Kristina Cruises sold to new owners Arsenalen. 1999-01 to 1999-02: Refurbished: 6 minisuite cabins built. 2001, winter-spring: Refurbished. 2001, spring: Entered service in the Mediterranean. 2001-05: Returned to the Baltic. |
