Having such fun cobbling this site together again, but enjoyed the sun shine today,too.  Still mild and green.  After all it is an island in the Pacific, albeit a northern one. Saturday Jan 8, 2011 Monday Jan 10 Oh well, I spoke too soon.  Yesterday morning we woke up to a  certain light shining through the blinds...yep, snow!  Not much, but it didn’t rain away.  More is promised by tomorrow. Wednesday Feb 9 A blood red sunrise.  Snowdrops are blooming, and a deer was chomping away at the green grass, no more than two feet from the house, this morning...saves us from having to mow the lawn while it is still rather wet.  Finished painting the amaryllis today!  It is amazing how many colours there are in the shadows of white petals.  In those two amaryllis blooms, there was ONE single little streak of pink - just one!
