You believe in negative entities, but aren’t these strictly Roman Catholic? Answer
Morgan: I am not of any religious denomination. One thing we must make clear is that we do not believe in a "Heaven" or "Hell", rather that there is only a source of well-being, not of darkness. Some entities are distant from that source, however, just as some people are, and can cause damage. So, if you have chaos or negativity somewhere in your life and you're pinching off the essence of who you are, you tend to attract more negative people, events and situations - sometimes on a spiritual level.
Stephanie: All religions give mention to spirits and any form of negative entity, but they give different names to them. The reason why people feel this is strictly a Roman Catholic belief is because this is the religion most often shown in major American movies and television. If you research deep enough into any other religion however, you will find mention of these spirits and rituals on what to do about them.
Should I ask a spirit to leave my house? Will it upset them/make things worse? Answer
Morgan: The Law of Attraction states that the more you recognize and take note of a nasty entity's behaviors, the worse it will get. They're like bratty children and the more you take note of a temper tantrum, the louder they get. Your best bet is to completely ignore him and have the home blessed, empowering you. The ignoring part is hard to do, but essential in ousting a nasty entity. Then, focus on the positive! We can't stress this enough! Don't focus on "the next incident", focus on what it is like
to have the home in order again! Remember that feeling and hold it with you. Don't hold your attention on how you WANT things to be, or you will be forever WANTING. Find peace within yourself, and peace will follow you.
If you have a mischievious or playful spirit that just seems to be causing silly pranks (like moving things around, etc) and is not coming across threatening, then you can just walk around the house and ask it to please stop, it's bothering you. Most of them do because they want your attention and now they know they have it. Something like "I know you're here, I saw you do such and such the other day. But if we have to live together, please don't be a nuisance". I've used this tactic in my own house years ago and there has been once where the spirit actually became very helpful. He even hung my birdfeeder for me when I ran into the house t o get a nail! :) Very sweet.
Stephanie: Your home is exactly that, your home. You can take control of the situation, and if you're not happy with a spirit, yes you can definitely ask it to leave. In terms of making it worse, well you need to need to think of spirits as people: they need to make the decision to leave once they know they're not wanted. If they don't leave when you've told them once to do so, then you need to keep trying and taking stronger actions against it, such as blessing the house, inviting a clergy to bless it, holding prayer groups, etc. But once you've started taking control, keep it up. If you ever decide to give in, a negative spirit could choose to walk all over that.
I spoke to my (Loved one) through the ouija board. Answer
Morgan: I like to compare the board to an online chat room: You have no idea who you are really talking with. Just like I can pretend to be a New York Attorney with a million dollar house, a negative spirit can impersonate someone you once knew if they think it will keep you hooked.
Stephanie: Well that's fantastic! And highly unlikely! As previously mentioned on this FAQ, negative spirits are very deceiving; they want to come through to our dimension; and they will use any method they can to catch you off guard, sneak their way in, and mentally/physically rip you and your life apart. Sure, I believe it's possible to actually contact your loved ones through the board, but I would never take the chance, being fully aware of things that have happened to others who have tried the same thing.
But my (loved one) knew intimate details about me only my (loved one) could know, it has to be them. Answer
Morgan: This is one of the most confusing games demons can play. There is no sure fire way to tell if the entity you are speaking with is the real deal or something trying to get the upper hand. All I can say is that, from our studies, intimate knowledge of a deceased person or living person does not verify a spirit’s identity. Their world is not ours, and knowledge is vast. Like a pedophile, these entities do their homework on who you are and where your weaknesses lie.
Stephanie: The level of negative entity which can respond to your calls on the board, knows what you know. There is no way of knowing whether you're speaking to someone you know, or speaking to someone you don't want to.
Is the Ouija Board evil? It’s just a game! Answer
Morgan: No, the board is not evil. This is a common misconception. As I explained before, it is not the board itself that is the problem, but possibly the place where you are and what you are attracting into your life based on where you are mentally, emotionally, physically. No one knows for certain, but the piece of cardboard made in a factory is not the problem.
Stephanie: No, the ouija board is not evil. It's just a board. The "evil" comes from the spirit you end up communicating with. And again, through chance, the spirit you talk to can end up being positive or negative. EntitySeeker's experience and research, however, has found that more often than not, you will be speaking with one that's negative, due to the fact that they have the stronger desire to come through to this side.
Can Ouija use result in possession? Answer
Morgan: Ouija in itself, of course, cannot. However negative entities whose behaviour consists of dominating people, property or things, do have the option of possession as that is a form of dominance.
Can the spirit in my house follow me if I move? Answer
Morgan: Yes, however many do not. From our studies, we have found that whether or not the spirit moves with the person depends on why the spirit is there in the first place. Many spirits seem to remain due to either poor or happy memories about the place they reside. If it was their summer home, for example, they may have a great many positive memories there and want to stay.
Negative entities are usually attracted not to the place, but to an individual and tend to target a person or family. In these cases, the entity often uproots and has been known to follow people even into a vacation.
Stephanie: Yes, there are some cases where a spirit has followed a person or a family to another residence. To try to get rid of a spirit by moving, means taking a chance; it could work, or it may not.
Can a ghost become violent and physically hurt you? Answer
Morgan: Human spirits do not have the power to physically injure and normally don’t wish to harm anyone anyways. A negative entity will often inflict physical injury to dominate with fear. I myself have actually had a dish thrown at my head during an investigation in such a place. They will cause everything from scratches to bruises, and will slap, punch, kick, spit, push, and throw to cause whatever problems they can. It is just one form of attack they use against a household, usually they stick to psychological ambush.
Stephanie: Yes, if you've contacted a negative entity, it's possible for it to become violent with you or other people who may be around. There have been many cases where someone has been physically harmed by a spirit, take the Entity case for example, where a woman was beaten and raped by an unseen entity for years.
My loved one recently passed away and now I think they’re haunting my home, what can I do to get them to move on? Answer
Morgan: Talk to them! Talk to them like you would if they were still alive and explain that you are alright and that they need to leave. If this doesn’t work, send us an email. There are lots of things that can be done.
Stephanie: Talk to them as if you would talk to any person who was physically with you. Explain to them that they have passed on and that they need to complete their journey and walk through the light. You can also say prayers for them, wishing them to be well and move on, or even hold a prayer group, or call a member of your clergy to come and help them pass on.
I've been looking around trying to gather research from a variety of ghost experts and many seem to disagree on one thing. Are ghosts figments of the human imagination, a neurological defect, or are we crossing paths with another plane of existence? And is there any way to know? Answer
I think the mistake here is separating 'spirit' from the human experience. At EntitySeeker, we have come to realise (people such as the Dalai Lama, Eckhart Tolle, and other spiritual teachers) that having imagination and having a brain (defected or otherwise) is part of the physical experience we know as being a physical being. But there's another side that is just as relevant. For example, when we talk about the human mind, there is no 'mind' organ, but yet we define the mind as often the very essence of who we are. I think we need to begin to redefine the idea that there is simply birth and death, but that there is only life with birth and death as only a part of the experience.
Have you found evidence of different kinds of ghosts? Demons? Guardian spirits? What are we dealing with here? Answer
There has been mounds of evidence (much of it behavioural) that suggests there are both human spirits and spirits which behave in ways that are unique to themselves, which is what The Demon Strategy (our workshop) is about. To label them 'demons' or 'ghosts' is a very human thing - we like to label - but there is evidence to suggest we have only touched the tip of the spiritual iceberg, so to speak.
I know all members of this team have had experiences with paranormal phenomena. Everyone's experiences are so different, though. Even my own experience does not coincide with anyone I've spoken with. Why is that? Are we all differently sensitive to past souls? Answer
