Rules of Conduct

The thing to remember is that these are only games, the purpose is to have some fun regardless of weither you win or lose. Even though running these game are a fair amount of work, I've enjoyed the people I've meet and the new friends I've made, and I hope you will as well.

These lists are not comprensive, so if you feel I've left something out please send me a note.

I consider the following items to be annoying and make the game less enjoyable to play, while I can't really do anything about some of them, I suggest that players post message on the newsgroup exposing players involved in these sorts of activities.

• Pre-game alliances
• Players not realy wanting to play, but continuing just to give their stuff to another player. In this case I would prefer the player to drop so a replacement could be found or the computer run the position.

The following items are all considered unethical behavour, players caught doing any of them will be warned to stop and if they persist, banned from all games.

• Any sort of abusive/harrasive email, this includes things such as hate mail, letter bombs, etc
• Using out of game items as part of in game negotations, such as paying some one for a favor, promising to give them a good position in a private game they are setting up, etc
• Making any sort of promise in one game linked to a promise in another game

The following items are all considered cheating and players caught doing any of them will be banned from all games:

• Using another player's account id for any purpose without the consent of the player.
• Causing any interference to another player's mail or manipulation of their mail.
• Using two seperate email accounts to play in the same game.
• Intercepting another player's mail.
• In general, any situtation that takes advantage of the MEDIUM that the game is played in, rather than the game itself.
