Eileen, along with her friend and plein aire painting buddy Catherine Fraser, is having a show at the Qualicum Schoolhouse Gallery this month in Qualicum Beach, Vancouver Island. The show features twenty of Eileen's landscape and tree paintings. Photos will be up soon on the art page on this site...

A compilation CD, entitled" A Cowichan Christmas" has been released, and includes a newly recorded Christmas version of Eileen's song "Bless This House". All proceeds from the sale of this CD will go to the Cowichan Hospice Society.

A wonderful compendium of songs about our (other) national obsession, it's

was nominated for a 2002 JUNO Award in the category Best Album: Roots &
Traditional".

The March 2002 issue of Canadian Living Magazine
has an article on house concerts in Canada, which quotes Eileen on her
experiences as a frequent house concert performer, and on the appeal of
folk music in a modern world.

A great book has hit the bookstore
shelves, entitled "Celtic Women In Music". It has interviews and profiles
of two dozen of the best artists making Celtic music in the world today,
and yes, among them is our own Eileen McGann!
It was written by Maireid Sullivan, and you can read about it on her web
site, or find it in your local bookstore.
The huge Folk volume of the Music
Hound "Essential Album Guide" is out, and Eileen has a simply spectacular
review in it! There are 1,200 profiles of folk performers and their recordings,
with ratings out of five for each album. All of Eileen's recordings

Mrs Ackroyd's Conscripts: NEW
CD!
Following performances in England and at the
Winnipeg Folk Festival over the last few years with the justifiably notorious
Mrs. Ackroyd Band - led by Les Barker - Eileen and David K. have recently
finished recording their contributions to the newest Les Barker/Mrs. Ackroyd
CD, out now, and entitled " The Airs of the Dog". This is a CD of
Les' serious songs, and follows the previous outrageous CD "Tubular
Dogs", also with contributions from Eileen McGann and David K.
They will be joining up with the Ackroyds later this spring during their
spring whirlwind tour of Great Britain (see Tour Schedule). For
