Running
the model business from our own home, like any other business, has certainly
got it's advantages ... like no travel concerns in bad weather, always
there to answer the telephone, and if you work late, you've only to cross
the drive to get home.
The
disadvantages are that you don't get very much time away from the office,
and quite often end up working 7 days a week.
You
must have a "retreat" .... somewhere to escape the pressure and demands
of work, and switch off the rest of the world for a few hours.
The garden is my retreat ... and I spend time in it as often as I possibly
can.
On
the West coast, in Vancouver BC, the weather is very kind to us, and with
good planning, beautiful colors can be retained in the garden almost all
year round.
