always do before you make a decision is consult. The best public policy is made
when you are listening to people who are going to be impacted. Then, once
policy is determined, you call on them to help you sell it.

Dole”
Mayor Candidate Elizabeth Fielding began her
political activities in Calgary in 1995 when she was asked to work on the
Alderman Campaign for David Nguyen during which she became more familiar with
our Municipal Government. In 2004 she
was Campaign Manager for Harry Dhillon, who was the first East Indian to run
for Mayor of Calgary. Later that same
year she entered the arena herself in her first run for an elected office as
MLA in the Calgary-Buffalo riding.
After a recent bout with ill health, Elizabeth
worked hard with allopathic and alternative healing methods to bring her back
to full functioning capacity and made the decision to offer her abilities to
the citizens of Calgary in service of Mayor.
Due to a remarkable recovery and new mindset she feels that she still
has several good years to offer the City.
Having many and versatile
skills Elizabeth has acquired over 35 years of continuous intermittent
education, volunteer and work experience in addition to raising her children
and care giving both ailing parents for an additional four years, she knows she
will be able to apply these assets to Serving Everyone living in Calgary as Your
Mayor.
She is an expert at
multitasking and has the flexibility to utilize her variety of skills in
problem solving, creativity, public relations and service, mathematics and
computers and can apply them to any and all situations.
She is planning for a
Positive Approach, Progressive and Unified City Hall that will set the Pace
World Wide for Innovative Municipal Government. She also believes that it is
Most Beneficial to Learn from the Great Ideas of Other Municipalities World
Wide, to always be in touch with what has been accomplished and be Effective
and Efficient in incorporating and implementing it together with New and
Innovative Methods Within our Great City of Calgary.
