For many years Eine Kleine Summer Music has delighted chamber music enthusiasts with the magic of great music in a charming rural setting, among the birds and wildflowers of the Saanich countryside.

This celebrated Victoria tradition takes place in a spacious church hall among the farms, trees and parks of the Saanich Peninsula near Victoria. Warm summer afternoons, gourmet goodies with lemonade and, best of all, exciting performances by outstanding Classical musicians.

This year we are especially excited about hosting two of Canada's most acclaimed performers and recording artists: cellist Shauna Rolston, and pianist Jane Coop.

Highlights of the 2011 season:

	Pianist Jane Coop playing Brahms with violinist Terence Tam, and a Schumann Trio with the addition of cellist Laura Backstrom.
	Another masterful pianist on our stage: Lorraine Min in César Franck's profoundly moving Quintet for Piano and Strings. Min will be joined by string players Terence Tam, Julian Vitek, Kenji Fuse, and Laura Backstrom.
	Co-Artistic Director Pierre Cayer has created a program for piano and winds. We are looking forward to this journey from the vivid French colours of the famous Poulenc Sextet and the humour of a trio by Jean Françaix to the Brahmsian lushness of the Quintet by Heinrich von Herzogenberg.
	Shauna Rolston, known worldwide for her passionate intensity and brilliant technique, joining pianist Robert Holliston in a program including sonatas by Rachmaninoff and Debussy.

Please remember to purchase tickets early, as they are often sold out well before the concert day.

Every year the beautiful month of June is made even more special through the shared experience of chamber music in the ideal acoustics of the First Unitarian Church.
