Moss Cottage is on Mudge Island, one of the Gulf Islands snuggled in between Nanaimo on Vancouver Island and Gabriola Island. Nanaimo is the hub of Vancouver Island with planes, ferries and transport vehicles arriving frequently to this city. Many boaters pass by Mudge as they make their way through Dodds Narrows to the Southern Gulf Islands.
