Topshop and its male outlet Topman, are owned by the Arcadia Group, which in turn is owned by the family of billionaire Philip Green. Arcadia Group is the UK's largest clothing retailer and it owns seven other brands in including Burton, Dorothy Perkins, Evans, Miss Selfridge, Outfit, and Wallis', as well as Topshop. Topshop was launched in the mid 1960's and is the best performing (in terms of revenue) brand of Arcadia. The company (Arcadia) was bought by Philip Green in 2002 and in October 2003 announced a profit increase of 96% on sales which only grew by 3.3%. The garments are made by about 750 suppliers in countries which include Romania, Bulgaria, Latvia, Greece, Poland, Turkey, UK, Spain, China, Taiwan, Bangladesh, Cambodia, India, and Hong Kong.
