The First Gap Store

The first Gap clothing store opened in 1969 in San Francisco. Currently, Gap Inc. is one of the world's largest retail companies and also operates Old Navy, Banana Republic, and Forth &Towne. Gap US made a net sale of $5.7 billion in 2004 and had revenue of $16.3 billion.
