My customer loved this piece of furniture for it's detailing but the colours were all wrong for her bedroom. By washing it in a pewter glaze and spraying the front door panels flat black, which made them look like wrought iron, the armoire was a perfect match for her newly decorated bedroom.

This little garage sale find received a total makeover. Numerous coats of paint were stripped off, it was completely sanded and then primed and base coated. Vinegar paint was applied and then a couple coats of gloss varathane for protection.

This antique picture frame had been passed down through the generations and is a family heirloom. The frame was missing many sections of it’s carved finish. I created the missing sections by carving clay and then carefully colour matching the newly created pieces to the existing framework.
