I received my copy of this book and was very impressed. It has good photos and great information. Rick is from Australia so many of the documents used as references are from Australian sources giving the book a bit of an Australian flavor. Rick has done a great job putting this 300 page book together and it is well worth the investment. Over 700 B&W photos and diagrams, with two colour plates in the markings section. The book has sections dealing with Service Explosives, the British Numbered Series, the "L" Series, Australian grenades, Canadian grenades, Launchers and Catapults, Grenade Launching cartridges, Carrying equipment, and a couple of pages on Australian VC (Victoria Cross) winners that won the VC in actions dealing with grenades. The book is hardcover with a dust jacket.

Rick was able to come up with photos and information of some experimental and development grenades that are not included in my own work that make for some very interesting reading.

This book, in combination with my own book The Grenade Recognition Manual will give the reader a very complete picture of British grenade history. Both books have photos and information the other does not making them both essential reference books for your library.
