Box Bug
Pokémon training just got a whole lot easier!
Thanks to yet another bug in Pokémon, maxing out your Pokémon's stats just got a whole lot easier! At level 100 no matter how many monsters you fight, no matter how much stat EXP you acquire, your stats can't change anymore, right? WRONG! A bug in Pokémon will save us! This bug is most likely due to memory constraints. To save space/time, when you deposit a Pokémon into a box only its type, name, moves, PP/HP remaining, level, stat exp. and starting bonus points are saved to the game's memory save file. The actual stats (max hp, attack, defense, speed, special) aren't saved! Which means that every time you put a Pokémon into a box and take it out, its stats will be RECALCULATED with the Pokémon's current amount of stat exp! Get into a large sucession of fights without getting a level up (best done at L100). After the fights are done, go to a Pokemon Center. Deposit the Pokémon, then withdraw it. The Pokémon's stats should have gone up a few points. Repeat until they are at maximum stats.

Story: Gold and Silver Versions
In this world live creatures called Pokémon. Humans and Pokémon have lived, worked and played together in harmony for ages. Nevertheless, there are still numerous mysteries surrounding them. In order to find out more about these strange and marvelous creatures, many scientists--such as Professor Elm of New Bark Town--have dedicated their lives to Pokémon research.
Recently, while he was busy with his research, Professor Elm received some mail from one of his aquaintances, Mr.Pokémon. The message said, "I've discovered something fantastic! Please come and see it!!!" Unfortunatly, Professor Elm was far too busy to leave his lab, so he called a friend to help him a young boy named Gold/Silver.
"Please go in my place and see what Mr.Pokémon has discovered," said Professor Elm. Always kind and curious, Silver/Gold agreed to help.
The Professor then showed Gold/Silver three Pokémon and siad, "Choose one of these Pokémon to take along wiht you." Gold/Silver was thrilled! This was the first Pokémon Gold/Silver had ever had!
Just then, Silver/Gold noticed that someone had been lurking in the shadows outside, watching all this through the window. It appeared to be a boy about the same age as Silver/Gold, so Silver/Gold decided to go outside to talk to him. But when Silver/Gold approached the boy, he pushed him backwards, saying, "What are you looking at?!?"
Who was this strange boy, and what had Mr. Pokémon discovered? You're about to find out...

In order to find out more about these strange and marveslous creatures, many scientists--such as Professor Elm of New Bark Town--have dedicated thier lives to Pokémon research.
One day, Professor Elm invites you to the lab. When you arrive, he says, "There are some things I don't quite understand yet, so I'd like you to raise one of these Pokémon which I recently caught."Since you're a curious person, you agree to help. Suddenly, Professor Elm receives an e-mail from his friend, Mr.Pokémon, asking him to come and see his latest discovery. Professor Elm is far too busy to leave his lab, though. The Pokérus
The odds of getting it are less than the odds of finding shiny Pokémon in the wild.
Your Pokémon may become infected with the Pokérus after a battle. It doubles the number of experience points needed for a level up. However, when the level-up occurs, your Pokémon will gain more points in their stats than they normally would have. After a day, it clears up if you've kept the Pokemon in your party the whole day. Boxing a Pokérused Pokemon infects the rest of the Pokémon in the box. If a Pokémon is Pokérused once, it becomes immune, so you can't get it more than once.
