After a courageous battle
with cancer, James passed away peacefully in the arms of his loving wife and two
daughters. James was born and raised in Port Alberni and was a long time active
member of his community.
Survived by his wife of 25 years, Bonnie Mitchell,
daughter Kara (Mike) grandson Cohen, daughter Melissa (Matthew), father Jack
Mitchell, mother Darlene Mitchell (Wilbert), sister Katherine (Alan), brother
Kevin (Lisa), in-laws Ernie & Margaret Bigelow, Gail (Tony), Sheryl (Rob),
numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
James will be forever remembered
for his dedication and devotion to his family and friends. His quick wit and
sense of humour will be greatly missed.
A Celebration of Life was held on
Saturday, July 16, 2011, 1:00pm at Echo Center 4255 Wallace St. Port Alberni, BC
V9Y 3Y6.
