This site describes a six week trip from Santiago, Chile to Buenos, Argentina.
Three of us made the trip; John from Ottawa, Peter from Vancouver
and myself from Victoria. We met on a supported cycling trip
in Tibet in 2000. Since then we have made unsupported annual cycling trips to southeast Asia
and China. The links section contains links to descriptions of some of our previous trips.
We travelled by bicycle, train, boat and bus.
As on previous trips we encountered interesting conditions, places and people encountered (both local people and other travellers). Occassionally, challanges arose. This has made the trips an enjoyable and interesting experience. A reports section contains some discriptions of conditions, people, places and events encountered during the trip. The links section provides links to travel information such as tourist information, travel advisories, maps, weather, other cycling reports etc that can be useful to plan a trip. The pictures section contains a slideshow and images illustrating various aspects of the trip. |
