The Majorettes
(Bill Hinzman; 1986)
(Shriek Show)
-Overview-
A twisted maniac is killing off all the majorettes. Could it be the jilted boyfriend of one of the victims, or the creepy janitor or should we believe all the clues that point to the star quarterback? All that the Majorettes want to do is practice their precision routines without being murdered.
Much potential, poor execution. An adequate amount of T&A and some young ladies that are almost hot, with not enough gore. What gore there is poorly done (in one scene you can actually see the cutaway in the blade of the prop knife) and monotonous. One throat slash is ok, but when every killing is the same it tends to make one want to hit the fast forward button. Cookie cutter plot and poor acting are par for the course. Not the worst 80’s slasher, but by far not the best.
-Sound-
Atrocious. As with many of the newer releases that Media Blasters have churned out, the soundtrack is full of distortion and crackles. The sound also cuts out in points during a scene change. Inexcusable.

Adequate but flawed. Widescreen 1.78:1 (enhanced for 16X9 TVs).
