A meteor strikes a houseboat near a group of drug abusing late 70’s folk and inexplicably turns them into blood capsule smearing, choking zombies. Oh the horror!
I think I actually lost a couple I.Q. points having watched this. For the second time, no less. This film is the epitome of atrocious, I’m surprised that Something Weird hasn’t done a DVD release for it. The “acting” is 70’s porn quality, and the editing is so bad, in some takes you can actually see where the Director yelled “cut” and the actors stop what they’re doing and look up or whatever. Absolutely laughable. There’s no gore to speak of, because all the zombies do is touch their victims and they scream and fall to the ground where they proceed to choke or just hover over said victim as the victim spits a blood capsule out of their mouth. Some scenes of unnecessary gratuitous nudity gave the film a slightly higher mark, but I wouldn’t recommend this film to anybody but those addicted to horrible B grade schlock, like me. The back of the video case states that it clocks in around 87 minutes, but my VCR showed it as around 77. I guess my version is either cut, or the company who released this piece of crap is as inept as the people who made it.
