Sasquatch

(Jonas Quastel; 2003)

(Columbia Tristar)

A wealthy CEO of an ailing company puts together an expedition to recover a piece of technology from a plane that crashed deep in the wilderness. The team discovers that the legend of the Sasquatch is real and that he’s a big doodie-head. Man, talk about a celluloid atrocity. A retarded monkey would have done a better job editing this piece of crap, but then again, maybe the editor(s) were bored to death. This film is so amateurish, I couldn’t believe that Lance Henricksen was involved. Many of the scenes are plagued with cross fades and fade ins / outs that it actually made me disoriented at some points. There is absolutely no reason to chop a scene into 500 one second segments and fade them in and out constantly. For example, a scene with a group of people walking amongst some trees. Simple, right? Not in this film. The scene is cut and faded so that the people don’t walk, they sort of teleport in very small segments. Absolutely the choppiest job I have ever seen. Filmmaking ineptitude aside, this movie Is just plain dull. No gore, very little T&A, pathetic plot.  Avoid, avoid, avoid.
