One Hour Photo

(Mark Romanek; 2002)

(Twentieth Century Fox)

-Overview-

A case study involving a lonely photo clerk and his deranged attachment to a certain family of regular customers. Bleak and riveting, this is hands down one of the best films to come out in years. Not specifically a horror film, but one of those movies that stays with you after watching it. I’m certainly not a Robin Williams fan, but I will admit that he was perfect in the role as the introverted Sy, and you really tend to feel towards his character as he spirals further into his dementia. Connie Nielsen is ravishing as ever and certainly a welcome addition as well. Essential viewing.
