Hitch Hike

(Pasquale Festa Campanile; 1977)

(Anchor Bay)

-Overview-

A vacationing couple pick up a man who is having car trouble on the side of a mountain highway (David Hess), and soon find out he is one of a group of bank robbers on a killing spree. The robber quickly commandeers their trip and terrorizes the couple.

Another psycho role played by David Hess (Last House on the Left, House on the Edge of the Park), and he does it so well. The film is exploitative and violent with plenty of T&A. I found it very enjoyable, but some may find the subject matter to be a tad strong. Corinne Clery is gorgeous as the wife turned hostage and fits the role perfectly. Well acted, and worth checking out.
